2008 Swim Team Activity Schedule  

Weekly Activities

Pasta Pump Ups - Monday evenings @ 6:00pm
June 9, 16, 23, and 30; July 7, 14, 21
All swimmers and their families are invited to bring a favorite pasta dish to share. Buffet style, drinks provided.

Tuesday Activities - Tuesday mornings @ 10:00am
June 17 and 24; July 1, 8, 15, and 22
Hang out with your fellow swimmers and participate in fun activity before going home to rest up for the evening's meet. Games, crafts, and other great activities are on tap for Tuesday mornings!

Coaches' Clinics - Wednesday mornings @ 8:30am and 9:10am
June 11, 18, and 25; July 2, 9, and 16 **
Receive instruction from the coaches on strokes and technique. Participation is limited to 20 swimmers per session. Clinics are free, but registration is required. Contact swimteam@scottishhills.org to register.

** Coaches' Clinics are scheduled for the morning after meets. If a meet is postponed, the clinic will be held the morning after the rescheduled meet.

Friday Snacks - Friday mornings @ 9:15am and 10:00am
June 13, 20, and 27; July 11 and 18
Come by the covered room near the concession stand after Friday morning practices to fuel up after practice. Drinks and snacks provided for all swimmers.

Aquathons - Saturdays @ 8:30
June 14 and 21; July 12 and 19
Come out and compete in an aquathon -- swimming and running! Distances based on age group. Laps are swum in SHRC pool; running is on monitored course in SHRC neighborhood.

Volunteers needed to help with set-up, lap counting, course monitoring, etc.

Special Events

Durham Bulls Game - Sunday June 22 @ 5pm
Enjoy an evening of baseball with other swim team families. Tickets are $8. Contact swimteam@scottishhills.org to sign up.

CCM Team Spirit Activity - Friday, June 27 @ 10:00am
Join your teammates in making posters and getting fired up for the Cary City Meet!

Awards Banquet - Thursday, July 24 @ 6:30pm at the pool
Watch as all of our outstanding SHRC swimmers receive their awards. Pizza and beverages will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share.
