About SHRC...
Location and Facilities
The Scottish Hills Recreational Club, Inc. is a non-profit, co-op
organization located on a beautiful 7.5 acre wooded recreational site,
across from Annie Jones Park on Tarbert Drive in Cary, NC. The club owns
a swimming pool that meets the short course requirements, designed
in the shape of a "Z" with a diving area at one end and a shallow area
for play on the other end. The pool is approximately 6,000 sq. ft. with
eight 25 yard racing lanes. The main shelter includes bathrooms, showers, game
area, concession stand, and a screened room. The facilities also include
a separate fenced in baby pool area, two tennis courts, sand volleyball
court, Frisbee golf course, shuffleboard, and horse shoe pits.
Membership
Membership is open to anyone and not limited to residences of the
Scottish Hills neighborhood. However, there is a ceiling limit of 400
stock memberships. A waiting list is maintained of families wishing to
join and membership is offered to those on the waiting list as
resignations occur.
